Great match displaying effective use of the anti for close chop blocks especially by the big bloke. Both very tough & tricky opponents to encounter. Lots of twiddling too by the big bloke.

Indeed. Younger dude has lots of more clips on his Youtube-channel where the clip above comes from.

After warming up I changed FH to the H8 I have been using last month or so.
..

did you just glue and stick it straight on the blade or did you wait a little?
ive done the same in practice-just whacked a sheet on.

I just removed the V15 from my blade, then removed H8 from my other blade and just placed it on my new blade and pressed hard for a few seconds. Like velcro kind of :). But I had to glue it properly when I got home.

Just found an interesting match, I believe the young dude uses ABS on BH. But I am even more inpressed by the older one, having lots of weight on his knees and still playing such great blocking and attacking game (also anti on BH?):

It looks and sounds like it, yes. Probably SuperAnti on a slow ALL- or DEF-blade.

Btw, I allways have to think of Fleksnes (esp. the episode 'Radioten') when I notice you here. But you're not in Oslo, of course, even if it were in Sweden.

I watch lots of Fleksnes when I was young, very funny :D. Gonna have to look that episode up though, not sure which one it is.

I got too curious of Dr Neubauer mp Aggressor so I bought a red in 1,5 mm. It arrived today. Nice medium soft sponge, soft tall and wide pips, not very grippy and not very wide spaced. Like Spectol but taller pips. I glued to my slow, soft and very controlled DMS Cubixx blade with Yasaka Rising Dragon on FH. Will try it very briefly tomorrow :).

Yesteday I played two singles and one double in our local league for above 30 years (veterans). I faced the lefty from my most recent videos a few posts above. When we faced each other in november (last match with Transformer) he won rather easily (10-12, 11-6, 11-3, 11-4). The. i changed to Mega Block and a few weeks after we practiced together and played a few matches (the ones I filmed). I won the first, he won 2nd. But yesterday I played even more stringent and pushed as manny balls to his BH as I could, served almost only to his body and returned his serves mostly to body or BH. And I managed to beat him 11-8 in deciding. It might be the highest ranked player I have beaten, not sure. I also beat his teammate, with Cloud & Fog ox on BH and Hurricane 3 on FH. Last time I faced him I was rather new to Mega Block, I was in a lead 9-5 or so in fifth but got nervous and he won 10-12. This time I stayed focused all time and used that loss as fuel. It worked. I have also played well against LP and defensive styles lately, I have found more patterns to use and found that patience pay off against those players.

These two wins will push my ranking again to a new personal high (my current is my highest). Feels great. And even though I haven't been praticing a lot lately I still play well, and that makes me calm.

well done-just to clarify-did you use 2 set ups or just the Cloud & Fog ox on BH

My opponent used Clod &Fog. I used only my main setup MB on Revolution with H8.

Im sorry for the confusion.I know ive asked this before but here goes.I like to play off the bounce on the b/h and close to the table.I push forward off the bounce with juic neo anti.is this the right technique to use with megablock.if forced back do you chop with the megablock?i like to chop if forced back.also what do you do if someone serves very fast to your backhand.do you just push it?
i am wanting to play right up close 90% of the time and may go down the megablock route.i can play close with the neo but i find myself moving back into my comfort zone and chopping.
