Just ordered a sheet of Butterfly Tackiness Chop 1.7 and TSP Curl P-1r 1.0. I will glue these on my TSP Balsa 2.5 blade and see what happens... :)

Looks like a nice chopping combination! Hope to read from you how the Curl P1R 1.0 compares to the 0.5. And if you have the opportunity to film your game, now that would be a cool addition to the blog :P

Played with the new rubbers today.

The Tackiness Chop 1.7 is very slow, the first few shots I played they died and fell into the net! As time went on I got them on with alot of spin however I need alot of work on looping with it.

The Curl p-1r is amazing! I could feel the difference between 1.0mm and 0.5mm, the 1.0mm was harder to control at first as I've been playing with 0.5mm for a year but the deception and reversal was on another planet! In a rally against an average attacker it took 6 chops in a row for the attacker to put it in the net whereas with the 1.0mm it only took 3, he had to put alot of effort in and change his game completely!

Very happy with the rubbers, thank you everyone for the advice! :)

Sounds promising! Looping with that blade is going to take quite some effort even with a fast rubber. If yuou focus on high spin and good placement, it can still be very effective though.

Yes, I've never struggled to loop with it even with a 1mm rubber, it really surprised me :-?

I fear there is too much dwell for topspin with the thicker sponged tackiness c on def blades,I tried that thickness on the Defplay and it was a bit of a struggle so I tried to boost it but it becomes too soft
ps nice to see you not sleeping in too long like my lad :)

Yes, I can't deny that it is a very nice rubber though :) haha I can never wake up on a school day and I always wake up too early at the weekend! I don't understand why though

Sam, I see you tried Globe 979 1.0 and you're now playing with Curl P1r 1.0. How would you compare them?

The Curl feels much better, the globe is slower but the rallys end quicker with the Curl :)

Played for another couple of hours and I feel as if I've 'worn' the rubber in. I'm looping alot better and im generating lots of spin, just trying to master the speed, its so slow!
