Today's training session was inspired by Ringer. I need to be more consistant with my loops and drive and be able to hit multiple shots in a row including both forehand and backhand.

1st minute - Alternating 2 forehand, two backhands
2nd minute - Random placement of blocks
3rd minute - Topspin points.

Thats a terrible thumbnail too, lol.

Heres a couple of games from our practice match. Overall not that happy with the day. Didn't really show any improvements on what I've been working on. The best I've looked in that last month was when I was trying to exaggerate my hip rotation a few weeks ago. Ned to focus on that I think, as well as trying to get rid of the backhand chicken wing which cost me multiple points in the practice match.

Incidentally I play Rob this week in competition. Got him last time but all time record is about 30% so fingers crossed.

Trying to work on my backhand. You can see how I play under pressure in a match situation. I come up quite a bit off the ball and swing across. My next task is to try stay low and hit through the ball at the target. Happy with the robot practice, need to convert it to matches. If I can I'm sure I can go up a level.

Another session in the hall with Rob. Was trying to do some basic yet random drills. Focus for me was carrying my robot session into match play type scenarios. Trying to eradicate the chicken wing and so some kind of proper backhand stroke.

The first drill was two random balls then reset and go again.
Next was 3rd ball type stuff.
Finally did some flicks to shorter serves. What is apparent to me is that the serves really weren't that short and its likely the same in matches. Instead of trying to flick, 9 times out of time I can likely do a standard loop.
