I've always wanted to take part in the CSSC Sports and Leisure Games - it's a sports society for people where I work. I entered the tennis competition about 15yrs ago but never table tennis.

https://www.cssc.co.uk/cssc-games/about/

Things change in life so this year I've decided to enter the table tennis competition. It's being held at Loughborough University on 15th September and I've booked accommodation for 14th and 15th (Thurs and Fri night) - subject to my health. Table tennis takes place on Friday but if anyone wants to meet up on for a friendly knock on

- the Thursday afternoon when I'm travelling down to Loughborough or
- in Thursday evening within about 20miles of Loughborough
- or Saturday on my journey home to Preston

Let me know.

Cheers

Loughborough tomorrow for 2 days. Currently having physio on my back and not playing league TT anymore so no expectations except survival and experience new things.

peterpong, I'll see how the next few days go from a physical point of view and will be incontact by PM about possibly meeting up again end of September.

I'm traveling down with a player to the David Ross Sports Village, part of Nottingham University, this Sunday 31st March for an England Hopes Squad Training Day.

I need to be there for 9:30am and again at 15:30 to pick them up. In between that I am currently free to do as I please. I've been down to Draycott in the past which is reasonably close.

If anyone fancies meeting up for a friendly gentle practice or chat, let me know.

Cheers

ps, peterpong, regrettably meeting the dogs will have to wait although I may be up your way in the Easter period as there's a training day at Bishop Auckland.

Well, I went, didn't meet anyone but did explore Wollaton Park (only a few minutes walk from the David Ross Sports centre) and got up close and personal with some Red Deer in a lovely "country park" setting. Surreal experience going from Nottingham and a busy main road with a long tall wall along it on one side and walking through a door in like a castle entrance, and coming out a few seconds later in a country park. Very very nice surprise and well worth a visit if anyone is in that area.

I'll be back down at Draycott TT Centre this Saturday supporting the Lancashire players in the Inter County Junior fixtures.

Next Tuesday (9th April) I'll be up at Bishop Auckland as there's a training camp at Bishop Auckland TT Club - might have time to visit peterpong's dogs, now if only I can make sure peterpong isn't there to get in the way  !

Finally the identity of peterpong is revealed... but the dogs were prettier so I photo'd them instead and left only the trendy trainers as a clue!

I'm in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. My club meets on Monday nights and welcomes guests. Cost is $5
If any beginners want a hit in Sydney or Western Plains and have a table let me know.

Lithgow club? I was at Blayney last November for the Central West Round Robin Open Championships, and a few Lithgow players played in that. A member here, Dusty054, is from further along the Midwestern Highway. I play in SNDTTA (Sydney Northern Districts), there were a few STGSTTA (St George & Sutherland), CCTTA (Central Coast), Bathurst & Orange players as well.

Not Lithgow, Katoomba. We get to use 4 tables for about 16 players
