my f/h is ok but when i play higher i need more deception hence the l/p anti combo.
you then have to change the f/h to that chop.i can still flat hit on the f/h and im working on chopping f/h with the l/p when flipping.
when im under pressure im 90% backhand defence anyway.its a work in progress but im getting better.
i may end up with 2 bats.i think the secret of ox dtecs is not to go crazy with it.just chop from a distance and roll with care.i find if i make a mistake with the pips and the ball goes high i find myself flipping and trying to block with the anti to get back in the point.
one of the leagues im playing in is hard(div 1) and im about 36% with my normal f/h.i think i can go higher with more deception.
obviously i may have to bite the bullet and admit that i cant get a better average than this at this level.but i think that by being very awkward i will cause problems.

(below is a review from a user)
I waited a long time to buy this because it was so expensive. Almost all the reviews say how great it is. But I have to say I am extremely disappointed. It is good for chopping far from the table and that is about it. It is terrible for passive blocking or drop shots. The throw on this rubber is just far too high. Angles where would make my typical blocks will shoot the ball up in the air with this rubber. Control is minimal and is not very good for punch blocking. After paying $44 it’s in my drawer and will never be used again .

OX DTecS is a chop-blocking rubber, no? I use it on an OFF- bat to have fun with/practice chop-blocking and it's absolutely lethal.

Kryptoianer(from noppen de )
I played against a Barricade with his Grass D'Tecs in OX (red) lately and that was very disgusting. Especially if sidecut in the game was similar to the disruptive effect GLN. What particularly surprised me
was the cut reversal. Although the Barricade is so soft, my opponent had more cut reversal on the wood than before on a balsa wood with very hard outer veneer.
:Chop: i may have the opportunity to buy the barricade defence blade and try the dtecs.
i had a practice last night and i need to remove the dtecs and fit them to my other defplay .i will do this after the season finishes.

played against a very good training partner who is 80% first div.
used the dtecs and mark v-he just hit threw everything and blew me off the table
used the anti and mark v(match bat)and got 2 ends.
lesson is to stop fannying around and just get used to your bat.

I went from anti-power on BH to relatively slow spin insensitive LP’s and I am still adjusting. I imagine that going from Best Anti to DTecs would take even more time, since BA is slower than AP and DTecs quite fast for an LP. But in the end, the additional disruptive effects may be worth your while. Good luck with it.

^^i agree mate.ive tried loads of antis and im settled for certain.i think im going to get a second hand barricade defence and a tsp defence balsa blade for the pips.i can get these second hand.im down to 6 blades now after selling the rest
2x defplay
2x grubba pro
1-kung fu
1-butterfly grubba variant
im back on the mark v aswell.i also like tac c in 1,9 and my slow short pips for the f/h-i keep going around in circles with those.

had a good knock with a strong div 2 player who is aggressive.
i was back to my old trusty defplay with best anti.i had mark v in 2mm on the f/h.
im coming around to dazzlers way of thinking and i may go faster on the f/h.mark v is great but a little slow.
mark v is pretty poor when you flip and chop.dont like the feel-tac c in 1.9 is much better.

i still like the slow tsp short pips but they are dreadfull when pushed back from the table
tac c in 1.9 is cool but i dont think it blocks aswell as the mark v
its impossible to have everything i suppose :headbang:
i have seen a hallmark strategy blade for £18(very tempting)
