tried the grubba variant blade today(all minus)it has a normal headsize and is stiffer and harder than my usual blades.i used best anti and s/p.really nice and i noticed that it still dampened well.throw angle seems a little higher with the anti possibly due to less ball contact time with the blade.i do a lot of passive backhand blocking.f/h was nice.the defplay still tops my blades but this is decent.

yes mate.are you english?i check e bay all the time.there was some a while back but it was small size-it went for a crazy price.
i can see me just going around in circles pips-mark v and tac c 1.9-i have tried thinner tac c but its horrid for looping.

good practice today with double anti.didnt lose any games but i was beating the players easily before.today i struggled.
i have shelved the double anti idea.
for the moment i am best anti b/h and tac c 1.9 f/h.i have been doing lots of twiddling .
End of season results
DIV 1 (D)JUST OVER 50%
DIV 1 (S)40%(2 games to go)
DIV 2(N)80%
2 people on here know the leagues that i play in but id rather not say too much as i want to remain anon.
I am actually getting better as the season ends so should do better next year.
looking forward to the summer league-also playing league tennis
just watched whiplash-amazing film

The Flarestorm II has the softest sponge I have played with.
I think it is better to play with Raystorm.
It is harder but quite soft.

I have played with Raystorm for 3 years.
Great rubber.
Now I am playing with Flarestorm. It has a much harder sponge.

Speed Sponge is good.
But no SP rubber has the spin of the Ray- or Flarestorm rubbers.

took a bit of a risk and played with the raystorm in a cup match.
beat 3 div 1 players(d league) including a plus 50% guy.raystorm is very easy to play with and i hit well with it.
my f/h was on for a change.raystorm also blocks very well.

practice today-lots of twiddling with the raystorm-all good at the moment.
@tried flarestorm a while back-didnt like it at all

more practice with the raystorm-i have ordered a new sheet for the summer.
im trying to twiddle more but hitting a briick wall.
i have to be really selective or i throw points away. :headbang:
beat T,P and A with the defplay ,anti and raystorm combinantion.
I really like short pips and cant see me changing to be honest-i may mess around but i cant see me going back to inverted.
raystorm and tsp l catcher have good control-i have tried lots of other pips and these are great for control
