I'm afraid there are quite a lot missing... I would like to update the software, so that we get a map within the forum, where you can search and zoom. Unfortunately I never seem to find the time to do it, and since my programming skills are poor, the talk is very time consuming. If anyone has some experience with Google maps and embedding it into a website, I'm sure it can be done in no time, and it would be a great resource! |

From what I've heard, Google maps and similar services will block excessive redirecting from one site, and you may be billed for a "pro version". Didn't personally check their ToU, so I may well be wrong. Links in forum posts should be safer, though, so here goes (first one from Norway, if I'm not mistaken): Our venue and our website. I know, the website is not very well maintained at time of posting. The responsibility is all mine

I keeping reminding myself of this project, as I'd really like to make it happen. The great number of contributions here shows there is plenty of interest, so all it takes is a little help from someone with some experience with Google maps and embedding it into a website, and I'm sure it can be done in no time, and it would be a great resource! So I'll bump this topic every so often, in the hope that someone with some experience will read this, and would be willing to help out.

Ha! Apparently NO clubs over here! I'll try to find out more. I suspect there will be few clubs - people here hate being organized. Like there are no aeromodelling clubs - just groups of fliers flying on whatever abandoned factory plot they can find. Iskandar |

Hi Haggisv, I am new to OOAK Table Tennis forum. On one of the other forum threads, a fellow member referred me to you and this thread. Basically, I am a club league player in the UK and when I moved a few years ago, I had a tough time locating a club in the new area. It is hence that I have used my techie skills and created http://www.ttRadar.com You will notice that this is pretty much similar to your idea and reading through your thread I can see that you wanted to have a map interface as well. I hope http://www.ttRadar.com will measure up on your standards. The site is TT community driven and hence encourages player to add their club quite easily. Can you please have a look and let me have your thoughts? Also, it will be great if you can help us spread the word and help more clubs listed in AUS & USA. Thanks Tarun |
