rkristia,

You have taken care of your blade very well. Despite of the age, no noticable dings on your blade.

Nice bat, how tacky is one rubber compared to the other.

Good question by Cobalt.

And what other differences are there between the Mark V and the Pro XT?

Pro XT is listed as semitacky, but it's a lot less tacky than most chinesse rubber. Marv V is no tacky at all.
It's hard for me to say any difference but i think they play quite similar (maybe the pro XT is a little bit slower and a little bit spinnier than Mark V), the main reason i use the LKT was because i was looking for a "smooth transition" from tacky chinesse rubbers (729 fx, Globe 999) to non tacky japanese/euro rubbers.

There is a big differences between this two... when comes to control and grip and serves the pro xt is an great rubber, you can compare pro xp vs mark v not xt and again pro xp is an better rubber. you can put pro xt on any blade and works very good like ( stiga alround classic) or on very fast blade like galaxy T2 carbon and again you see the goodies of this rubber, but pro xp is different and is not going well with every kind of blade. enjoy the pingpong my good friend's .

So I'll post my two main setups at this precise moment of time :D

Set-up 1:

Butterfly Timo Boll T-5000 FL, with Andro Rasant forehand, and Victas VS-402 Double Extra backhand:

Set-up 2:

Butterfly Timo Boll Spirit FL, with Xiom Vega Pro forehand, and Butterfly Tenergy 05 backhand:

Note rubbers on second set-up were originally from a junior-sized bat...thus they are much smaller on the full-size Spirit blade.

Interesting, I've played with LKT Pro XT for a while, and I find it very tacky. I always keep a plastic sheet of some sort on the rubber when I don't use it to prevent dirt, and my Pro XT sheet has kept tacky for a super long time. Are you sure you aren't using Pro XP?

Other than that, I would agree that the rubbers are quite similar. Mark V isn't tacky, but can still generate a whole bunch of spin. I would guess it's a little faster than the Pro XT, and the sponge is probably heavier. All in all Mark V is an amazing rubber that suits most needs until you want super duper fast catapult tensor deluxe gears ;)
