I'm still wondering where kids get this ultra fast equipment.
I mean, most will get their stuff through their coaches and trainers, right?
And a responsible coach wouldnt give a TBS + Bryce to a kid I suppose...

Would depend on the kid and how old they were I guess. My daughters half brother is just learning and he is 11. I have a cheap (wasn't that cheap, but cheap quality) BTY pre-made I bought that has a small handle and Stayer rubber on it which is ok, but not fantastic. I let him use it and he loves it. Small handle suits his hand and rubber is not that spinny so it doesn't react hugely to spin he receives from my rubbers. So he gets a chance to return shots from me that I slowly increase in speed to get him used to it. He's doing quite well. But obviously for a kid that is well advanced different requirements come into play.

I think the best way is to give them some blades to try and let them decide which one is more suitable.

I think many people/parents (esp. grandparents  ) go by the price when buying something they're not that familiar with, like when buying TT equipments as a gift. The last time I was at the store someone was looking for a gift and bought a Bty blade (not sure which one) with OmegaII on both sides.
