League match tonight, opposing team with all 3 players higher in the win rates for the season than me. I won 3-0, 3-2, 3-0 in singles and had a 3-0 win in the doubles. I even won a set 11-1 and another 11-2.

Psychology, been doing a bit of work on mindfulness, helps!

But biggest thing, ready position, bat up by my face. I stopped missing receives and could attack them well, especially on backhand where I used to overloop again and again. I think it helps me close the face and go forward more instead of open and vertically. Such a simple thing, but good things happened which gave me confidence which stopped me trying too hard and tightening up as well from that starting point. Also helps me on serve recovery because I recovered poorly and with bat low before. Pretty sure it's higher now without consciously doing it. I'll need to analyse video.

Nice! It's important to enjoy your good nights. The mind is great at just remembering the bad.

Remember you good nights! :D Yes 2 weeks ago I was on fire and beat the number 1 and 2 in team comp and I have gone up a division. I was on a high. Next week play bad and loose all three singles. I am on a low.
I could not work out why my forehand just went missing in action. Spend some time on my robot and I worked out I was not doing a slight delay in forward hip rotation to forward arm movement. My forehand is now back against the robot and I hope could be back in comp.
Such a frustrating game at times as one technical element missing totally messes up your strokes power and spin.

Just out of interest, does anyone see anything wrong with this shot?

The paddle needs to be on the ground to be proper, yes? At least touching your shoes.

I guess I am missing the second fold of the fold-unfold-fold formula. Also moan too much.

I think that's right.

How does your racket start making its way down when your body is up?

There is also no forward motion on the final shot. It's all body rotation but no stepping forward or going into a crouch.

I have no idea. I also don't understand the purpose of the second fold, honestly.

For example, watch Fang Bo's shot at 1:12. He does not do the second fold (am I wrong?), but his rackets ends up low.

Do you mean the crouch at the start of the swing or end?

But they aren't playing out the points, presumably ro get more reps in the time. If fastmover was playing the balls that came back, maybe he would re-fold.

The shot is correct. His body propelled his arm to exactly where it went. There is a very slight refold and that's all that was required on that exact ball.

Also, the racket passed well over his head which is a massive indicator.
