OOAK Table Tennis Forum

Good day to you all,

I've been coming to this forum for some time lurking in the dark, primarily for the anti-spin and pips post as OOAK is the only place I could find with a strong pip/anti player base, with a wealth of knowledge; along with all the other sub-forums you really can't go wrong here!

Some of you may be aware that there is a small community of table tennis players over on Reddit (around 6,000 members), and I am one of the mods on that subreddit.

The Reddit community is quite different than OOAK or other TT fourms out there, as there are a plethora of beginners. As questions, topics and concerns come in over on reddit; I generally tell them to stop by OOAK or any other forum we have listed under our "TT Website" drop down and post their questions/concerns here as there is more skilled members with more experience here that are able to provide more accurate answers than they can find on reddit.
(I often send people to OOAK if they show interest in becoming a pips player or using anti-spin.)

My main purpose of this post is to have a working relationship between both communities so that we may be able to strengthen our table tennis community as a whole; and bring in new blood from multiple different venues.

I appreciate all of your time, and I hope that I am not stepping on any toes by posting this here!

On a side note, I spent a lot of my time editing the table tennis page on reddit, and I value any criticism or feed back that you may have for me to make the page function and look better.

I'm assuming you're at work and your IT department has the site blocked from viewing.. Reddit to my knowledge is not blocked by ISP's.

Edit: I noticed you're from Indonesia, that would explain why you're unable to view the page. Your government banned the site due to the site having pornography on it. Shame!

Seemiller with anti on back, so you twiddle I assume? We have one seemiller player at our club that only uses one side, the other side is painted black.

Would love to play against you, I'm sure you'd make me scratch my head!

Can you provide a link to the subreddit? OR the name of it? I don't use reddit so I'm not well-versed in how that works.

Danny Seemiller himself uses anti on one side. Yes, he twiddles - he's famous for getting into long distance counterlooping rallies and then putting a dropshot just over the net, that bounces two or three times.

Had a look at the Reddit forum, lots of the usual stuff about buying a first racket, tempted to post about the N11 there..
