We avoid using the word "game" in Indonesia, which for whatever reason we treat that as abbreviation to "game over" and associate that word with "passed away" here. :)

Example,

"Digebuk Mike Tyson? Bisa langsung gim dia."

(Being punched by Mike Tyson? He shall "game over")

:P

Same, in fact we call them sets in squash here, too (generally). In fact, we call everything sets, not games (squash, badminton, tennis, table tennis and royal tennis). Most people I know call them sets in table tennis (incorrect as it may be)!

I tried a year or two back as a school sport. It took the full season just to learn the rules! It's pretty cool, though.

A school sport!!! I don't think there are very many courts around the world. When I came across it on YouTube I spent several hours watching, it's so arcane. I love the serve, it's supposed to hit the roof awning, and dribble off the edge. Handmade balls (you need baskets of them, apparently they don't last very long). The rules remind me of "Calvinball" - like someone made them up at random to suit some bizarre court design (which, considering where the court layout came from, doesn't seem far from the truth). Keeping score is.. hard to remember how it's done, even, there are so many ways to score! If there were a court nearby, I'd loved to have tried it, it's what Shakespeare was referring to in Henry V. I don't think those balls the Dauphin sent over were Wilsons.
