Hi everyone.
I play a predominantly fore hand looping game and lot if blocking but have problems once the opponent starts attacking i can only block and cant start an attack even though my blocks are quite fast and with good placing.... i would like to start attacking but somehow i cant get myself to do it.. what should i do

The first step to counterlooping is simply doing a more proactive block - just make start doing small up/over movements on your block.

My partner and I have a practice we call "No Mercy". EVERY ball must be attacked. It does not take long to find out just what can be attacked. Loops are made for counter looping if you have a mind set to do it ahead of time. All that spin on a loop becomes your spin when you counter it. You will be amazed at how low a loop can be countered.
Practice countering even if you think it is too low. Once you have seen what can be done, set your mind to be ready to counter instead of blocking in matches.
Don't try this for 5 minutes, we spend hours doing it. :)

I am only half joking.

While this training is very effective on looping capabilities,

The risk of accidental table hit or any other mishaps that may damage Your blade or Yourself is quite big,

which thanksfully invertedly correlated with Player skill. :D

So, when You just started, Use a blade that You don't mind when it damaged, so You dont subconciously pull your punch, err, strokes. :)
