One good way to promote our game, is to get articles in the papers (online or printed).

I wonder if anyone here has experience in doing this, and can share some of their tips in writing, and how to get them interested to print articles?

I've done plenty of newspaper reports for our weekly comp. They key is not so much what you write as the photo. Without including a photo you may as well not bother in my view.
As far as the text for I try to use plenty of descriptive words to talk up a match, even if the facts may not be entirely true. Also mix up the names each week to ensure everyone gets a mention over time. They say they hate it but they actually love it.
