As part of a trade I'm being offered the 4 below rubbers. No idea what any of them are like, but I chop on the FH more than attack.

Can you guys describe them for me?

Butterfly Bryce, Tackifire Special 1.9, Stiga Carbo Sound 1.8, Neotec hinomi-M 1.8

I notice the thin sponges. Bryce USED to be the fastest in the Butterfly line until the speed glue ban, after which Tenergy came along. Never heard of Neotec. Tackifire whould be, er, tacki. And the Stiga rubber? Maybe it makes a big sound...

Tackifire Special would be the best bet..bryce is useless for chopping..never tried the other two.

I've only tried the first two as well, and would agree with poknas. Bryce was really only good with speed glue.

in today standard, on paper, none I ever tried myself (well, 1 session with borrowed Tackifire does not count)

Tackifire Special is an allrounder rubber,
Bryce for block and loop style,
Stiga for drive and loop style.

Never heard Neotec.

Take Tackifire :)

Digging up this old thread, because I came across Hinomi on Tabletennis11.

https://www.tabletennis11.com/other_eng ... c-hinomi-s

Is this the cheapest Japanese rubber ever? At least I think it's Japanese. The description makes me think it's from the Sriver era. There's a S version and a M version, and I'll bet, like Sriver, the difference is pips orientation. Sriver came in L and S versions, I think only L is left.
