Personally I've played an end that finished 25-23. But I've just seen a message from one of the student teams that one of their players just lost 32-30..... in the 5th?
That's crazy!

Any advance?

32-30 in the fifth? Yeah, that's crazy. Could've been worse, it could've gone to seven games. Didn't go to expedite, did it?

If they finished the 18th point in the game inside of 10 minutes then that is not a reason to introduce expedite.

At a practice session it once went to a crazy 37-35 :o in my favour in the 4th to level at 2 sets each. As it was club closing time, was thankfully saved by the bell (had nothing in the tank left to keep going) to play a deciding 5th which I would most likely have lost

Last season I had a singles set go to 23-21. It really did feel it was never going to end as no-one would give it up.

A few seasons ago I recall a doubles that went to 24-22 or 25-23, can't quite recall. I just know that being a doubles with 4 people involved it was a lot more fun as there was a lot of laughter and rowdiness. as the tension and rallies grew!

They are good fun all round those long games. Spectators enjoy it and there are always oohs and ahhs. Its funny that you just want the game to end but are disappointed when it eventually does.
