I spent this last Thursday at a coaching camp with Corby Smash TTC. Just want to say that it is something I can thoroughly recommend to anyone, and that I found it very worthwhile. Also met another OOAK forum member. Very tired after though, especially as I played at a club for an hour or so later.

It was a good day and as usual the people at Corby Smash worked hard to ensure everyone came away with something, regardless of their standard. I'd highly recommend the coaching days and also the Vets Ratings tournaments which are run throughout the year.

Yes, always a good session there - I always learn something as player and as a coach.

Didn't know you played Vets tournaments Mike…I shall try and get to one there, in the past they have clash with senior events for me.

The next Ratings Event at Corby is 21st May - I'll remind Tony to harrass you both (and Darucla) until you agree to play in one.

There's also a Monday night singles league from 8th May that I believe will be banded. No rating points but cash prizes.

Well, I knew the other one already.

Actually, I had been intending to do a tournament there a few months ago, but my lift wimped out (sorry, had important other family business to take care of). 21st May is my birthday (anyone interested, I'd be happy to receive some Tenergy 05, not tried it.

). Not sure that I'll be able to tourney on that day.
