OOAK Table Tennis Forum

Ok im nuts and go through a strange sequence of events prior to playing a match.
1-correct aftershave-USUALLY POLO
2-lucky beads on wrist.
3-button up tt shirt
4-take tt shoes off prior to game
5-when im about to play I double fasten my laces and unbutton shirt.
6-I try and go outside for some fresh air
7-i also write on my hand-STAY IN DEFENCE & MOVE FOR BALL.
8-sip a cheeky can of g&t during the game
what do you crazy guys do

Me too. Mainly cos its easier to get the ball as it spins back in the net on the other side (if I serve well) or it comes straight back to me not having reached the net

I am known for being OCD about how straight the table is and whatnot. I will usually spend a few minutes straightening the barriers, the table, the net. I'm sure they were already fine, but I'll stop when I'm satisfied. lol

There is probably something to it - you have to enjoy following little white ball going back and forth for quite some time, which might correlate with some OCD or what not.

Having said that - I don't have any weird pre-match rituals .
