I know you are busy with family. I am going to be at WDCTTC on Sunday from 12-4 at least.

Most of this can be handled by flicking the serve or doing a shovel motion or a slide motion to shape the ball in response to the spin you want to negate. Again neither of these are a guarantee that your return will not be attacked. Pushing is possible too but likely requires more practice. Creating awkward racket angles is a key part of experience and grip manipulation.

Ah, shucks. I heard through the grapevine that you are meeting up with Fred. Because we have a capital area league meet Saturday night, the wife has said "NIET" to any other TT that weekend.

If you are able, the Capital Area League is happening at 6pm at MDTTC (Gaithersburg). My team isn't playing till 730pm (stupid scheduling) but I was considering going early to get some time in...assuming by back cooperates.

I did want to mention, that from a Jpen perspective, it is astonishing how much easier this is for me ergonomically. just pronate the hand with a little ulnar deviation. And then just give a little brush or push in the direction of the spin to negate the spin and then I can direct the ball wherever I want with bat angle.

Probably just need to practice more with the new setup and the fact that suddenly I don't have LPs on my backhand and haven't ever as a shakehand player, unless I twiddle intentionally.
