It was informative, but seeing as it was so obviously scripted, I think they could have added some suspense using close-to-threshold readings, pointed questions about boosting, and maybe some footage of the ITTF enforcement arm in their riot gear. |

But that would be infringing on player's privacy, bringing table tennis (well at least the ITTF) into bad repute, and against the handbook of match officials, or so a friend of mine was told. |

They could have used a fictitious player instead! I thought some of the most interesting parts were that Simon Gauzy uses Rakza 7, and apparently it’s not that thick. Also, that his blade is a Sanwei M8. OK, I made that last bit up. Because the ITTF wouldn’t. |

They claim to be able to test for boosting - and I have said this before - they can only catch bad boosting, ie boosting with a material containing VOCs or boosting badly applied so that the rubber is no longer flat, or boosting with rubber that ends up too thick. So they put a gloss on that, then measure the gloss They also still do not have a test for the minimum friction of pimples out. |

I wonder how REY would react to the gasses some people emit on court |
