I have a bazillion practice balls that I use with my robot. They are getting pretty dusty. What would be a good way to clean them?

I was going to say something along the lines of "never needed to clean my balls..."

Anyways, big bucket, oil drum if you have, hot water, a sprinkle of Oxiclean.

Simple, dump them in the bath tub full of water no soap, then splash them around, drain, then let them dry there, then good to use.

Does the no soap technique really work? Sounds good and easy, but I'd think you'd need some soap. Regarding oxyclean - have you tried that? I actually have some. Just want to make sure it doesn't do anything to the balls.

The no soap technique works good, just dust.

Make sure the balls have been submerged.

Hi, like I said, never had to clean my balls  . But have used Oxi on blades, gets rid of unfortunate sweat stains in seconds, no damage to wood or glue, so should be safe on balls.

Anything Oxiclean / Vanish etc. will do WONDERS!

I usually MARK my TT balls with weird squiggly lines my initials  etc. I even have a "globe" traced ball similar to the old "internet" icon. All in the efforts of identifying spin while the ball is in play

What I found out was if I soaked it in the Oxiclean stuff and fully submerged it, it REMOVED all the markings, oil-stains, sweat-stains, ANYTHING except the manufacturer logo, and the ball was RESTORED to brilliant white :-D

I just use an empty Brylcream container and fill it up with the stuff and close the lid and leave it. But for your purposes, maybe you need something like a Pringles can ? or something that can hold a lot of balls but leaves very little area for the Vanish/ Oxiclean stuff ?

I just cleaned mine in the bath tub. No soap. Then put them in Cotton mesh laundry bag, hung it in the shower. They will be dry after the overnight.

Huh. Do you scrub them at all? Or just let them soak...

If dipping in oxiclean you don't need to scrub. Just soak, rinse and dry.

No scrubbing, let them soak a few minutes, just checked them hanging, they are dry, after 3-4 hours.
