I’ll be in the ACT with the family from Monday 15th to Thursday 18th April (second week of school holidays), and am looking for a place to do a bit of training and people to hit with.

Mainly it’s for my daughter, who has a tournament back home on the 20th - if she can train with any Under 13s or other juniors during the week, that would be great.

She’s about 800 on Ratings Central, I’m about 1000.

Not from ACT, but have visited. The club is open on a number of mornings each week, largely retirees playing socially. They're friendly souls, but very few at the level you'd be looking for. Best bet might be to contact the association directly: https://www.tabletennisact.org.au/contact/

As an aside, the nation's capital has a ramshackle hut with seven tables, uneven wooden floor and dodgy ventilation. Something tells me that table tennis is not a high priority for our sporting elite organisations.

Canberra has 3 locations, Manuka (the old hut), Tuggeranong and Gungahlin (both these centres are in modern sports halls from memory)

Try and get a hold of Song, he will be helpful in most cases, they also have a facebook site if you need to reach out there. I think that person I spoke to was named Sam but this was a little while ago.

Good luck, PM me if you don't have any luck and I'll follow up with you later on.

Thanks, guys. I had a response from TT ACT this afternoon and it looks like there might be a junior training camp on, which perfectly fits the bill (well, for my daughter, at least!).
