Actually, Debater, I was referring specifically to a post I made at mytabletennis.net, where I was asking the same question if anyone knew a professional player with a similar playing style to the 'Mayor of Guangzhou' who played a show match with Liu Shiwen at the Volkswagen Cup.

One person replied that the 'Mayor of Beijing' had a similar playing style, then another person laughed at the joke and that's all the replies I got. I felt ignored and a bit embarassed about it, so that's what I was talking about.

By the way, I read a few articles on short pips, one of which is on the pipfacts.info site which said, "They will generally block in defense rather than backing away from the table and topspinning the ball," so I thought, "Hey, that's exactly what I do, close to the table blocking," which led to my confusion as to why close to the table blocking wasn't working.

See, you have to be specific because we don't know what you are thinking.

I read all your posts and I have decided to let the better patient members answer, and Debater was the perfect member and he did it beautifully.

Just look at the number of times I have posted here since I joined, and sometimes, I felt being ignored too. :(
Not every single post has to be answered, I sometimes ignore Haggisv's post too if it was not interesting to me. You are the only one who has to make it interesting and specific enough to allow one or several of us to interact with you.

Yes that's right... Something posts are simply missed as well... When I get the time I have a look at the list of unanswered post, and try and answer some of them, then often after I answer it can turn into an active thread... you just never know on a forum ;)

I do know, as pointed out already, that a simple and direct question is much more likely to get a quick answer than a long and detailed one...

I am new to the forum and the sport. I don't feel I have much to say since I don't have a comprehensive knowledge of things. I enjoy the forum in order to learn as much as I can to help me inprove my game, form my style, and buy the right equiptment (speaking of quality vs price).
On a side note, I don't understand all the short-cut terminology. Could someone make a section with definitions? Such as simpler ones like LP= long pimples, FH= forehand, ect. The one I'm trying to figure out now is somthing like Ejing??? Maybe referring to trying out different set-ups... :?:

okay I admit I very rarely add to the forum I'm usually here in the back ground. I always love the wealth of knowledge on this site and have taken a lot of advised that has helped in choosing new rubbers & blades I've also always thanked OOAK shop for their excellant service. I treat the forum like one of those good friends that it dosen't matter how long you've been away your always welcome back ;( . No seriously I enjoy the forum reading through the topics if I can add I will it's just few and far between. Thanks always though :)

Ever since Bogeyhunter introduced me to this forum, I have visited OOAK to read up on comments and reviews to make decisions on possible new EJ setups. Occasionally, I see someone ask about something that I can chime in on and I will respond. Otherwise, it will be posting something for sale and ask questions to see what everyone else has experienced. This forum has grown immensely since then and for me it is hard to keep up with all of the juicy and sticky topics!

I have been out for more than 3 months but not intentional. I met an accident ( actually a hold up incident ) where I receive a bullet that shattered my jaw. Tomorrow is my check up and I am hoping to be given clearance to play again. This is my 2nd life folks.

I find this forum very friendly and have no plan of abandoning it. I'll be posting actively again. Thanks!
