What player has the most complete backhand , especially looping ? I know the answer , Jorgen Persson :P , but he has a weird grip to follow...

Timo Boll has the most complete backhand in my view, Kreanga is only effective at mid-distance or when he has the time to wind up.

Kong Linghui also has a superb backhand. Nothing spectacular but he could do everything with it and win points with it.

Persson was a flat hitting specialist.

Yes , Boll is great and he is a specialist of changing grips ...Kong , nothing fancy but unstoppable ....by the way Kong is very muck like Waldner in all the moves.

Except Persson and eventually Kreanga none of the rest seem cappable of ending points with the backhand.

Personally I like more Samsonov for his technique. What I dislike to him is the fact that is to defensive ... and too bad Kreanga has no Vlady's physique ...

Ah ic, So if your referring to point winning power, then Kreanga stands alone in this field.

The BH no matter how tt evolves will always be a secondary support to the FH.

I just remembered, Wang Hao has a awesome backhand thats much better than almost all shakehanders.

Kreanga is the only one I've seen who can take down a chopper comfortably with his backhand alone. This is show of pure backhand might if anything at all.

If Kreanga had Samsonov's physique, he wouldn't be able to play backhands like that...

Kreanga must supply with force lack of leverage (cause of height) . Another master of backhand I think is Adrian Crisan , another Romanian ...

I recently watched a video where Samsonov destroyed Ma Long. He has great variation in his play, great tactics. He won 4 - 1. Ma Long was having some unusual footwork problems.

Kreanga's loop is powerful but it has bad recovery time. He follows through all the way out to his side. He stands pretty far back from the table too. I saw a video of Liqin dismantling him by using angles and power blocks. He won 4 - 0 if I remember correctly.

Yeap , too bad for Kreanga he plays the same game with all the oponents . Recently at the WTTC Boll destroyed him too ... Interesting fact Liqin has a relatively weak backhand ....

Despite his very loose grip, Persson is still my favourite : pushes, flips, loops and kills - is the best ...
