ANYONE ELSE FROM AUSTRALIA, VICTORIA? WHAT COMP DO U PLAY IN?

i'VE PLAYED IN COUBURG FOR A BIT, SUNSHINE AS WELL. ALSO PLAYED VICOTIAN FOR A BIT BEFORE TRAVELLING TOOK ITS TOLL.

I NOW PLAY IN LOCAL COMP CALLED NSTTA, WE STILL PLAY UP TO 21 (ONE OF VERY FEW)

I ENJOY 21 BETTER, MORE ENJOYMENT & FUN COMPARED TO SERIOUS OF 11 WHERE U MUST CONCENTRATE FOR WHOLE GAME AND EVERY MISHIT COUNTS DOUBLE.

i'M ALSO PLAYING CORPORATE GAMES THIS YEAR.

Just for everyone elses info, I play in the same comp as spinmeister, but in section 1.

I played in Section 2 a couple of years back and knocked off spinmeister in the GF after coming from 4th and 12-3 down in the 3rd set of the doubles in the semi-final to win 21-16 and that cataupulted us to win the prelim final again in doubles and then the GF 3-0. I didn't lose a game in that finals series.

Since coming up to section 1 haven't made finals, but my regular partner has decided to give the summer season a rest, so I'm playing with a player who is about the same ability as myself. So hopefully I can taste my first Section 1 finals succes this comp.

I've filled in at Coburg a bit also & won Sunshine A3 last year.

Hi Guys,

Reb is right (Hi Reb)
there are quite a few of us that play @ Dandy &/or MSAC but I personally do not get out to the other side of town too often, sometimes Coburg.
Have you guys ever been to Dandy its a great club & place to play, if not you are welcome to pack a lunch :) and come and visit us, we can organise a friendly hit. Sorry I missed this thread but not been around lately, only just returned to comp after a season off.

I'm playing in the corporate Games on 21 November at MSAC.

Anyone else playing in corporate Games?

How big is the DANDY club (tables, sections etc.)

The comp i Currently play in is only small, 4 sections and our biggest venue only holds 5 tables. But it's a nice social competition with a good ability level.

Hi Spinmeister,

nice to talk to you, Dandy is 1 of the biggest permanent clubs in Melb I think. They have 16 tables permanently setup and are open 7 days a week. Competition is played Mon, Tues & Thursday for seniors
Friday Junior comp
Wed night plus weekend is public hire & training.
Comp is broken up into A1 to A5 (10 teams in each grade) Monday night
B1 to B5 (10 teams in each grade) Tuesday night
All games are held at the centre so it is a great atmosphere and time to catch up with friends.
Weekends are a good time to train, cheap too only $7 per session (2-3 hrs) per table so $3.50 eacjh for a training pair.

I have just return to the A1 grade on Monday nights & it is pretty tough going.

cheers
Mars
