I loved this game, MNNB.
Do you know what type of antisheet is on Carlos' backhand?

Yes, that is brilliant playing.

Couldn't find anything on him with Google. If I had to guess, I'd say Butterfly Super Anti.

Unfortunately for some reason this great video of Carlos Guilherme was removed from YouTube, but for now you can still view the two videos of this terrific anti chopper at these links:

http://com.martinspin.ch/xn/detail/643851:Video:33782

http://com.martinspin.ch/xn/detail/643851:Video:33786

UPDATE: After a little more digging, it looks like the club of the losing players is causing problems for the YouTube poster. It would be sad if these videos disappear from the net altogether as Guilherme is one of the best anti choppers I've seen.

Yes, great videos!
Guilherme seems to me to have inverted red, anti black, twiddling for the serve, but not much during rallies.
Two feautures of his game stand out, for me. The first is his great footwork which allows him to back off to absorb the power of the attacks and return quickly to the table to defend or counter. The second is that he is obviously looking for a chance to attack all the time - he is, after his every return, watching the opponent intently, having his bat ready for attack strokes. I guess this is what makes him such a great player.
Then there is his first ball. He doesn't seem to twiddle for receive of serve, but always use his black (anti) side, mostly pushing against backspin - still, his opponents do not attack his returns and seem to have trouble reading it or lifting it or both. I can't make out what he is doing exactly to make it so hard on them; but he must have a grippy anti or he wouldn't be able to do it - I wonder which thickness.
There is also psychology at work. He dominates. His opponents are afraid of him. It is not just his excellent play, I think, it is also the way he is moving around the court and the will-power behind every strokes - he is an intimidating player, not by lousy tricks, just by being who he is and playing that way. A great chopper-attacker.

Hi Kees. Interesting observation about the serve return.

Interesting observation about the serve return.

Here's an attempt at an explanation.
They can't serve topspin or he, being such a great defender (i.e. chopper and pusher), will turn it into very heavy backspin and they might net it.
They can't serve no-spin or weak spin, for he is so fast on his feet and such a good attacker that he would step around his backhand (or maybe twiddle) and hit it for a winner.
So they serve backspin - no no no, not hoping for simple reversal and a chance to attack his topspin, but because this way his heavy push will produce the least backspin, so they may be able to handle it...
I guess we should feel sorry for them, though
Anyway, it's a tribute to his stature

That anti is reputed to be very good at generating spin, so in black 2.0 mm it would make perfect sense for what he does...
