We have one of these in our club, and it's really good as it actually hits the ball with a bat with long pimple rubber on it, so it produces a no spin ball, which is good experience as well as the robot which does spinny balls. Has anyone else tried this robot?

I've wondered what that one was like. Geoff might be able to tell us as Aussie Table Tennis carries this one as well.

I can't quite see how a robot that only produces only no-spin is an advantage over other robots that can produce a variety of spin though...

well, I can tell you its cheaper LOL

http://www.aussietabletennis.com/?Nav=P ... egory_id=0

Problem is people can get even cheaper Y&Ts that have more options (different spins) in addition to the no-spin so they think why pay the extra? Its a valid point.

Basically you are paying more for the gimmickry of a humanoid with a bat feeding you the ball and some music. :D

It may not be an advantage, but seeing as the club has both types, I see that it is a great advantage, as you can experience both types.

I didn't realise it was music. Might have to convince the club owner to let me at it. Dunno if they'd share my tastes though. How good are the speakers? :P
