I think the discussion went along the line that its more aimed at fitness market rather than TT skills as it can't replicate different spins. It even says in the blurb..."total body workout". Bit of a gimmick, they need to put the arm on controlled swivels, give it a combo bat and let it twiddle, then they might be onto something!!

Good to see a video! Looks like the bat is not doing a lot? I think it has music as well.
So yes, it probably looks cool and will give you a good workout...

Yes I was under the idea that the bat would be able to block back, either with pimple or inverted.

Paul Pinky actually brought a similar robot to the Seals Club at Maroubra a few months ago. I think it is a different version as I don't remember it talking or has any music. But then maybe he did not turn it on. Anyway, I had 15 minutes with it. And yes, the robot won I find the spin generated very heavy too as I wanted to try looping very heavy underspin at the time. A very cool robot though And no, it does not block back any ball.
