Hi folks.

I recently bought a Robopong 1050. I did not buy the net, because it seemed at the time overpriced for what it is. I tried to build one myself, but I am lacking the skills and material to do so. I've been trying to use bird catch net for fruit trees, but not doing so well with it. Does anyone have a plan or video of setting one up yourself?

On the other hand, it may be it would be better to save up for Newgy net or Joola net. Has anyone tried both? If so, is Newgy worth the extra $, since it costs about $50 more than the Joola net.

Any guidance, thoughts, or suggestions are appreciated.

Jake

I'd recommend the IPONG catch net over the Newgy Catch Net II. The IPONG is about $50 cheaper, much easier to set up, and does a pretty good job of catching balls.

The Newgy does a great job of catching balls, but it is a pain in the butt to assemble, and the large mesh netting catches on the butterfly screws used in the framework, as well as anything else in the vicinity.

I haven't seen the JOOLA net, so I can't comment on that one.

DTopSpirit,

Thank you for your suggestion. That sealed it for me. :)

Just to clarify, my understanding is that IPong is manufactured by Joola.

Yes, I think you are right about that, but I'm not sure if the IPONG catch net is the same thing as the JOOLA catch net, or if they are different models, so I thought I had better qualify my answer.
