This is the same robot as the Butterfly Amicus Professional, just re-branded--not a clone or fake. Attila, the person behind Power Pong, told me he had a control box that came with Butterfly printed on it instead of Power Pong, so he was trying to sell it to me at a discount. I have the original 3-wheel Amicus before they came out with 3 different control boxes. My control box would be what they now call the Basic. The Power Pong robots use the same control box as what they now call the Amicus Professional. The robot itself is identical on all 3 models--just the control box changes.

I was underwhelmed with my Basic model--very little spin on the shots. I'm hoping that perhaps they've improved that aspect of this design on the Professional model, but I haven't gotten my hands on a Professional control box yet--the control box by itself was going for US $900 or so!

I stand corrected. Now I see that Power Pong is offering all 3 models, same as Butterfly. Originally, Power Pong only offered the equivalent of the Butterfly Amicus Professional. The Power Pong 1000 would be equivalent to Butterfly Amicus Basic and the 2000 would be the same as Butterfly Amicus Advanced.
