Found this video earlier on YouTube:

Fast forward to 3:20. This video is actually a sneak ad for this:

http://www.returnboard.com/

Quite impressive to watch. I'm sure many of us has hit balls against a wall or a board, the main problem is when you hit topspin you get backspin back. Here, I think, they've lined the board with rubber (there's a reason why it's red and black!). You get topspin back!

I think I'll try building one of these things. I've got a stack of training rubber a foot high I could use - or if I needed more one can easily get sheets of 868 or Reactor Corbor for $3.50 a sheet or less. I could order one of these return boards from Germany, but shipping will cost a bomb. If you put rubber on one side and left the other side smooth you could flip it over to practice driving against backspin.

Now we know why it's called training rubber, to line return boards with.

I doubt even the German ones are lined with Tenergy!

Finally found the prices. A great deal more than I can afford, and the shipping would probably add another hundred Euro to the price.

Sometimes I just get my girlfriend to throw the balls onto my side of the table as hard as she can, and fast as she can, for 20 or so balls and I return them... That's my robot :D

There was this post about Wally Rebound Boards in another part of the forum. Gives me some ideas for building my own, but it has a weakness - you can't move the board over the table, so you can't do the chopping exercises you can do with the German board above.

Buy her a racket and teach her how to feed multiball!
