Well, i really didn't give attention to serial number at all, you just mentioned it to me so i went to check out, but i really don't know what does it mean?!!!

In all cases, i am trying to understand this machine, i feel it is not consistency as it should be, or i maybe hallucinating about its accuracy, in all cases i figured out that i can get better results when placing the robot at higher level, so i used its box as foundation or stand, and i get better balls bouncing from high position, i just need the net to train better and harder or more.

I will think seriously about a battery box so i can use it with this robot for better portable, it is a good idea and handy when i try to train away from electricity sockets, and also the cords are so annoying really.

If you're trying to figure out settings, Cobalt has a nice video here:

viewtopic.php?f=67&t=29450

Another good accessory to have is the tilt stand. If you don't have one you could improvise with various flat objects, but since the iPong's base is round you'll have to figure out how to keep it from rolling when tilted.

Yeah, if they've quit making the battery box you'll have to build one. Any electronics repair shop should be able to get you the parts. I'm pretty sure mine uses six cells. There's only three or four sizes of DC plugs, just bring your AC adapter to the shop and have them sell you the same size. I suppose you'll need to do some soldering. Just get the polarity right...

I think the tilt stand is included in the package as a standard

Yes, the tilt stand is included in the package, but it didn't give much help or difference, or maybe i didn't learnunderstand the machine good enough yet, at the end i can do whatever, using the tilt stand or not and placing the robot on a box to get what i want is the main point as long it works for me.

I will check something on the net first about the cords and the right plug, ebay is full of these things, and most electronic shops here aren't genius in those things or they cost little over when it doesn't have to, or not making a reliable one, so i can wait and search then decide.

Yes apparently its by serial number, B is older, C was an upgraded version. Not heard of a Feb 2017 version.

Whats your serial number start with?

I have the chance buying a lightly used V300.
Serial number start with C00. This is probably a August 2016 version. According to Megaspin description, Feb 2017 version has significant improvements (Improved motor and shooting wheel, updated feeder disc to prevent ball jams, updated wireless remote)
I will not decide, if I should buy a lightly used August 2016 version for an interesting price, or I'd rather buy a new Feb 2017 version ;)

My pre Aug 2016 version goes great. Luck of the draw sometimes.

Keep the numbers low and you should be right. I mostly play with the wheels on 1 to 4 but usually either all topspin or all backspin. What were your settings?

I would like someone with the new ipong to check it out as I am interested in buying a robot that doesnt kill the budget. I currently have an ipong that I havent really used that much, and it is no longer viable as it shoots out balls all over the place when it should throw straight. So its now a toss up between Newgy or ipong..Any suggestions would be welcome...

You might want to try cleaning the mechanism / wheels etc of your existing robot first?

Thank you, my iPong v300 is on the way.
I have one more question. With which balls do you have a good experience? Do you also use 40+ cell-free balls? If so, which ones do you recommend?
In the local shop I saw some cell-free training balls at an affordable price - Andro PolyS / PolyS2, Hanno Basic 40+, XUSHAOFA Vision Europe Training 40+, XUSHAOFA plastic premium...
And from China are available Yinhe 40+ 1*, SANWEI 2017 Plastic 40+ or Double Fish V40+ Training balls.
But I do not know, if some of them will work well with the robot.
