Yes both robots in this post (HP-07 & Tibhar RoboPro Junior) can throw one ball left and one right. Check some youtube videos and reviews for them.

This one, places the ball in the same place every time! So once you've set it up it only plays one kind of shot.

The oscillating features works as I would expect, but since ball delivery is not 100% consistent the ball is not always delivered at the same point on each side of the table. If that makes sense.

All in all, a good "cheap" robot, that does the basics reasonably well!

I got my 40+ balls and they seem to work fine in the HP-07.

I have a couple questions though.

1. There is a piece of metal inside the hole where the balls come out. It sticks out into the ball path, although it doesn't prevent the balls from coming out. Is it supposed to be like that, or should I try to fix it?

2. The power cord is frayed near the controller and I can see the inside wires. Is that safe?

Mostly, the metal wire is a feedback mechanism to check if there is a ball in the tube or not. If there is no ball, the servo in the basket rotates and sends another ball back in. You should let it be like that.

Yep I've looked at my robot. The metal thing is there by design.

As far as the cord seems like an individual error or defect. Options could be to return it but I'd probably just opt for electrical tape myself to fix it.
