At least you got the point! That would have added insult to injury if you'd lost it.

I go through times like that too, where I seem clumsy or just have bad luck and get injury after injury. At least you're still able to play!

I'm shocked by this Speedplay

I didn't know you had swedish friends, cos you only ever talk about opponents!!

Doesn't sound like an injury to keep a TT addict down! And you better go add it to the "you know you are an addict when" thread LOL.

Take it easy, don't work for a few days, just play TT for your rehabilitation

I had a team mate who fell during a match, but still completed it. Turns out he had broken his (playing) wrist. Unsurprisingly he lost the game.

LOL, I snapped my achilles and kept playing and not surprisingly lost. In fact I played 2 more singles after it standing basically on one leg. Then played 6 more weeks of TT thinking I had a sprained ankle that wouldnt heal, so I finally went to the docs with it...and the rest is history LOL.

Not nice to have injury you can't sleep with, hope it feels better.

Wow, walking around and playing on an Achilles injury must have been really tough! I gave myself a bad ankle sprain during a match once, finished it off (and won!) and then got beat in my next match. Later that night, I couldn't put any weight on it. And the next day I couldn't really move much, but I still managed to play an event or two.

It's really something what we'll put ourselves through just to play this game!

You're not wrong Doug! I couldn't put weight on it that night at all. Just used left leg to balance. Looking back, I should have been in hospital that night, not finishing off competition and going on a holiday (vacation) for a week afterwards and then continuing to play for weeks LOL. I remember the lady who did the ultrasound scan on me asking where my crutches were after she saw the state of my achilles on the screen LOL. And yet I wasn't keen to pull out of TT before the end of the season (which was a new season to the one I did it in LOL).

I'll take the advice to keep it easy, but it better heal quickly, cause the local league starts on Tuesday, then regional on Thursday, so I really don't have that much time to take it easy.

But, the way the wrist feels today, I wouldn't be able to play since I can't make a proper serve throw. Can't bend my fingers or wrist at all :( And it was a real pain trying to get some sleep tonight. So, my addiction will be kept in here for a couple of days :D

That sound nasty Speedplay... it's probably just swelling that makes it stiff... I'd be pretty confident it's bve good anough to toss up a ball in a few days... good luck!

You should really learn to read the date of the original post ;) The wrist is fine and have been so for a long time now. If I remember correctly, I played the local league match that was ahead, but offered to sit out on the regional league match to give the wrist more time to heal.

Any way, thanks for your (and Robot Blocker's!) concern! :)

lmao @ the site admin not realizing that some1 necro'd a thread xD. It just shows how much we all love you SP. Even when you have been healed for months, we still worry about you.
