You can probably teach them a few things... like the basics.

I've toyed with the idea of how to build stuff to test the claims people make about rubber and blades (both the manufacturers, and here as well) - things like quantifying "throw angle" and "gears", for example. Or "flexible" in the case of blades. The first step, of course, would be to define exactly what is meant by these terms! I think ITTF would be more interested in designing equipment to enforce compliance with rules. And invent new ones (rules) and ways to test for those...  Iskandar |
