So now they are promoting kicking in barriers as rock 'n roll.... hypocrisy indeed!

I like the video and Zhang's outburst is implemented at the right time. It's hypocritical, though, but maybe the one making the video didn't find Zhang's outburst such a big deal.

That really is phenomenal hypocrisy. Of course the ITTF never admits a mistake...

Amazing hypocrisy.

The ITTF also promotes Adam Bobrow lack of "fair play" when interrupting matches for dancing and other antics.

In addition to the hypocrisy, and in spite of the questionable musical choice, this video did not get my heart pumping harder. It seems to fail at a lot of levels.

That's what I love ITTF for; consistently inconsistent.

If the ITTF has already paid ZJK and his coach hansomely (as well as Adam B) then this is exactly the stuff of legends and what teh sport needs.

I never paid attention to the ITTF. I learned to play on the street tables in China. Most players there could also care less, or even know what the ITTF is. I still use the celluloid ball. I use frictionless LPs. I don't care about playing speed glue players or whatever. Whenever a league like the ITTF tries to OWN an entire sport like TT, the players have to stand up to them.

Agreed... but you are not standing up to them, you're simply ignoring them.

Would we expect anything more of the ITTF?

If anything this sport needs its few strong peronalities! If those clips were the most Rock n' Roll they could find it is really bad... Zhang Jike kicking barriers felt a little odd in there though. We need a John McEnroe really bad !!!
