Yeah, yeah, you suggested the same thing last year. Someone else pointed out it's not detectable once the rubber's been mounted on the blade. And this is still true.

How the heck can you see the watermarks when the rubber is attached to the blade?? What are you going to do at racket control - remove the rubber to see the underside??

NO BLACK ALCHEMY IN TABLE TENNIS...

A Сhina's rubber factory, renowned expert at Silicone&Sealant materials is now closely engaged into my project. It is not easy to decide on the right sealant material to meet the given task to the full. Near a handred sealants to choose from.

Iskandar, where there is a will, there is the way you know. Just relax and wait for new ITTF REGULATIONS. Don't get fearful about the material restrictions to come soon.
The new restrictions of the sponge usage by players is supposed to only take effect for international play, not for common populacy.

So happy we now getting able to exclude those dirty cheaters from international sport. I am really delighed about this.

I've heard that before. And it has never been true.

You really should think this through igorponger, every change you make to the sport will have an impact and a cost to the sport as a whole. What will be the price for getting rid of the very small percentage 'dirty cheaters'? Would you be willing to lose 10% of players worldwide, to rid the world of the 1% of cheaters?

What I find interesting is that Igor is trying to convince us that ITTF will accept what he suggests. I don't think we need worry - I doubt he's even talking to the ITTF about this, he can post whatever he likes here. it's probably got nothing to do with reality.

He still hasn't answered my question - how is anyone going to see this "watermark" on the back of the sponge once the rubber's been glued onto the blade? The only way would be to remove the rubber from the blade - like that's going to happen at Racket Control right before a match.

I think if anything gets adopted it'd be that "ball bearing drop test" the ITTF has been working on at the research center in Singapore. If that comes to fruition, then it means BOOSTER FOR EVERYONE as long as your boost job doesn't exceed what's allowed in the bounce test. Level playing field.
