Some minor and relatively uninteresting changes here:

http://www.ittf.com/stories/pictures/T4_Racket_Coverings_for_BoD2015.pdf

Looks like:

  • Changes to the way topsheet "gloss" is checked. Maybe a different device used during testing?
  • Seems like suppliers can choose their own numbers for the ITTF Number now, rather than having to use
them in sequence with no gaps.
  • There's a whole new set of ITTF logos (including an "Authorised Racket Covering" logo) and more rules about how they should be used appropriately.
  • A gradual introduction of tighter "country of origin" statement rules. These are more interesting and include examples of "topsheet made in x, sponge made in y" and "assembled in x using materials from y", which would go a fair way to tell us what actually goes on with some rubbers where the manufacturer is making claims about "china-euro cooperation" or whatever.

That's probably a good thing... I think it should always state where the rubber is actually made, and some of the Chinese manufacturers try to be quite sneaky, implying that their rubbers are made outside China, where is a higher quality is expected.

PS Nice job in working out how to do a list with bullet points. Not sure if I ever worked that out.

LOLz. Yeah, experimenting with that took longer than typing the post in. I've probably got it wrong somehow anyway!
