It's actually quite a good summary of the most popular topics on this forum.

Wait a minute. Thanks to the ITTF, table tennis has never been more popular.

For example, we can brag that it's a top five Olympic sport according to some dubious criteria. And remember, racial quotas were added to keep the Chinese from winning all the medals. The ITTF has found a way to make racism good. So proud.

And our ITTF is the world's largest international sports organization, thanks to Sharara's longterm campaign of graft and bribery to bring in every banana republic and miscellaneous territory. Take that FIFA.

And did you see that massive crowd at the ITTF world championships? Sure the stands were empty all week, but they bussed in a big crowd of non-table tennis fans who didn't have a clue what was going on for the finals. Well the photos look good. Perception is reality, right?

Of course, tuning isn't illegal as long as you buy expensive rubbers sold by preferred manufacturers. Players need to be protected from the dangers of baby oil.

And there was no choice about moving to the plastic ball before it was perfected, and which was quietly made .5mm larger in the process. After all, according to the ITTF President, "celluloid is banned by the countries of the world." The problem is no one told the celluloid companies so they're all still in business!

Hmmm.. that's a radical idea. Make serves easier to return to make the sport more attractive. Maybe adopt Liha serve return rules? Or restrict serves to medium long topspin on the forehand side of the table?
