Farago's lawyers: "...we did not receive the formal, official decision of the ITTF Executive Committee on our client’s suspension, in spite of repeated requests to provide it."

I'm confused by the wording of that article, what is the "official decision"?
Are they asking for the official accusation? Or is it that a decision has been made, but they've not received the formal notification?
Why are they saying that this is something that lawyers need to sort out?

Not very clear reporting. I read it as the nine-member ITTF Executive Committee (headed by Weikert) made a non-unanimous (possibly contentious) decision to suspend Farago with pay due to an alleged "breakdown in relations" between Farago and Weikert. However, the Farago camp asserts that the ITTF is refusing to be forthcoming in providing full details regarding the suspension. The rift between Farago and Weikert appears to be getting more bitter by the day.

As usual, the dodgy, non-transparent ITTF leaves us to have to piece things together. On the surface, it appears Weikert is making a power play to marginalize the authority of the former Sharara faction.

Reminds me of the recent going-ons in Washington DC...
Not much hope of any transparency there..

The thing about international sports federations is that they answer to no-one. In Switzerland they are not required to be transparent (which is why most have headquarters there) and if that ever changes most will move to UAE or Quatar the next day. She can hire all the lawyers she wants, it almost certainly won't help.

For FIFA, only indictments in of all places, the United States forced change (assuming there really has been change) and there because the money in the corruption was enough to get attention. ITTF has no real money. IOC has money.

Easy to interpret. Weikert F*** up, she is back to work. He wins, it depends on how Farago behaves.
