I am in Kuwait for a week or two and have some slowish wireless, but a network none theless, so I should be able to be around a bit Took 36 hours from checking in, waiting, flying, stopovers, and getting to the came here in Kuwait. I don't want to do that again for a while.

Ugh, didn't even get to write stuff down here.

Just got things sorted out, trying to get back into the scene with an extra 12kg. I have no inkling to lose this extra weight , but I sincerely hope that playing again will help me achieve my fitness goals.

Still going to stick with my Globe999Nats and probably change eventually to a PC. I'm probably going to remove myself from the speedglue scene -- I find i weird that I don't see any speed nor spin improvement from gluing the Globe 999Nats when I played months ago, but I do appreciate the softness and the reduced break-in period for new sheets.

My coach says that my loops are harder with speedglue. Maybe someone could set me straight here?

Hopefully I'll train harder and longer this time around.

Welcom back Yuzuki!

Do you mean he thinks it's harder to loop with speed glue? If so I don't agree

Hmmm, I thought speedglue made rubber faster and spinnier due to the swelling and softening of the sponge. This should make loops easier and faster should it not?

Welcome back Yuzuki!

Hmm, he says that my loops were...nastier, I think. Maybe it had more bite?

But really, is it the norm for the player not to see the differences in speed and spin of the ball they just struck?

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome -- I just had a two-hour session earlier, and it seems to my coach that timing and stamina (obviously  ) were off because of my long vacation.

Otherwise, I still have most of my skills. :) I could even loop backspin BH now. What a welcome change.

I can normally feel and see that my loops are faster and spinnier, but if your opponent notices it, perhaps you're mainly getting more spin, as this is harder to judge...

Having PC troubles guys so might be offline a lot for a while. Going off for a weeks break, but unless this PC heals itself then it will still be spasmodic appearances until I find a way to renew it. Hope to be able to pop in still, when the PC decides not to crash for long enough. Having a good stint now. Its been up for 10 minutes without crashing LOL.
