OOAK Table Tennis Forum

The world highest team event badminton competition has been going on here, at the Jalir Hill Putra Stadium. the venue is within a stone throw distance away from my home. I have been following the tournament lately, present at the venue together with thousands of other local and foreign spectators and enjoy watching the best players of the badminton world displaying their fantastic skill.

The men's team event has reached the semifinal stage. Malaysia plays China( the defending champion) this coming friday, and Japan plays another badminton might Indonesia.


The present era greatest badminton players in this tournament.

Jorgensen of Denmark in celebration after beating Malaysia 2nd single, Wong Chong Han. The final result(played yesterday evening) is Malaysia 3 - Denmark 2. Denmark was ousted from the semifinalists.


Malaysia best and most experienced female player, Wong Miao Chu in action. Sadly, our women's team was also stopped by Indonesia might from advancing into semifinals.

I love watching the badminton when the Olympics are on. I wish we got to see more of it here in the U.S., it really is great to watch.

Played badminton in my teens. Absolutely loved the game. Lots of skill involved. Loved it as much as TT, but it needs better legs.

In 2016, Thomas and Uber Cup will be held in KunShan, Jiangsu Province. Athletes from 21 different countries or ares will come together to compete. For more info, you can look at en.damai.cn/event/tickets_99163.

Our table tennis players aren't ranked very high but we do have one of the best badminton players in the world.
