Only sometimes, when I pull off a "wonder" shot (as in I wonder how the hell I did that  )

The person below me survives in the game off nets and edges.

It is so true. I hate playing the robotic kid players that practice for 2 years then show up at Nationals and easily win events by sandbagging. I do get a  big smile though when they cry when I beat them too so it goes both ways...

The person below me claims that they only practice once a week but in reality plays 4 times a week and gets coaching lessons too...

Unfortunately, only in my dreams. In fact, too much of my table tennis playing happens there!

The person below me will struggle with the next post ...

Not true. As I understand the rules, the whole of the net assembly is considered to be the net. So... if the ball hits the net post and falls into play, that is considered to be a valid stroke, just the same as if the ball had hit the net itself.

Oh, hang on a minute. You said the "next post".

The person below me loves playing against left-handed, RPB c-pen players with Tenergy-05 on their FH and Tenergy-64 on their BH.

... just to keep this thing alive :^)

Okay, you said: The person below me loves playing against left-handed, RPB c-pen players with Tenergy-05 on their FH and Tenergy-64 on their BH.

Well, I probably do, but I don't have my supa-wonderful-happy-book-of-tt-terminology on me right now. I say, 'Just bring it on!'

THE PERSON BELOW ME warms up for so long before a match that he's forced to take a time-out before the first serve.

Sort of true. I don't bother with it much as I prefer a flat smash or a with a little top, but I have done it occasionally, although that doesn't mean I really know how

The person below me hates Christmas!

So, true ... so very true! Bah humbug!

Well, I do like the food, drink and company ... and a chance to play more TT with Santa and his reindeers.

The person below me plays great TT only with the new 55 mm ball.

Yes, they exist. http://www.killerspin.com/products/ball ... -mm/203-21

And it is not true that I play with them. I would like to see the 38 back or maybe a 36! Then I could hook them even more. :)

The person below me hides his new table tennis stuff from his wife.

Ah this is so subjective. I'd argue being below you was actually being above you

The person below me once snapped their bat over their knee in anger.

Ticklish? Hmmm. Finnish. Yes. English. Yes. I suppose in this global community of ours I would also consider myself quite ticklish. You just need to know where to poke!

The person below me makes up for his/her lack of skill by clever use of distraction techniques, such as pointing to the imaginary spider descending from the roof onto his/her opponents head.

True, too true. I don't use the spider from the ceiling, but I do use the "stare fixedly at one corner of the table and then serve to the other". You'd be amazed how many people are taken in by that.

The person below me is growing anxious because Christmas is coming and that means the club will close down for the holiday and then what will they do to get their TT fix?
