OOAK Table Tennis Forum

We've got some Mega-threads here, which are really interesting, but having to go through the whole thread to search for something can be a very time-consuming.

I've just discovered that there an way to search just within a thread, already built into the forum software.

When reading a specific topic (thread), you'll see a search option at the bottom-left of the screen. If you use that search option, it will only search within the topic that you're currently viewing!

I found that so handy, I felt the need to share it

I thought this might only work as a search function on a particular page rather than across the whole thread so I tried it on Adham's thread and searched for his name. It worked great pulling them from throughout the whole thread not just the page my browser had opened. Even better it doesn't seem to be case sensitive. Excellent.

Unfortunately, it still doesn't seem to search for numbers eg 802, nor does it seem to search for words less than 5 characters long.

It should work for 4 char words or more... the same as the standard forum search... not the best, but luckily most of the time the words are long enough. if the words are too common it won't produce the results.
