Do you eat red meat on Good Friday?

Just thought I would express my best wishes to everyone over the Easter period. Hope the bunny brings you lots of goodies!

Actually I am very interested to know if people eat meat on Good Friday or not as I have always eaten fish on this day, more as a tradition and a mark of respect for the meaning of the day than anything religious. Does anyone else follow the tradition?

Im not a fan of the red meat, however this year im spending 4 days with my GF, although she doesnt want to go to church with me on easter sunday...meh

during lent and easter i dont eat meat besides fish and seafood on fridays and sundays.
I also go on fasting so it just means i eat but i dont over do also i dont snack during this time as well.

Don't really care about eating meat or not on any day. Went from semi-catholic (education) to full blown atheist. Would do it for health reasons though, red meat kills (cholesterol, blood pressure etc.)!

Anyway, in religious tradition (catholic), meat wasn't on the menu on any friday. This was also very practical, most of the religious followers were poor, and fish used to be the poor man's food... (I can imagine that during the peak period of religion in Europe (Middle Ages till early 20th century), meat was only very rarely on the menu for many families.)

Happy Easter Weekend Everybody! I went to play at my old club tonight for the first time in nearly 11 years. Little did I know that they would be having Good Friday off! Oh well... at least I got some fresh air. Now I'm hanging around my house with all my Stiga gear on. Today I ate rolls. 6 to be precise. Comprising of rocket, sausages, prawns, cheese, chutney, egg etc. Not all at once.

LOL at RebTT!
