That is in preparation for the worldwide ban on wood by all nations of the world. ITTF scientists have determined that wood is a dangerous, flammable substance with flames 80% similar to celluloid flames, so an alternative had to be found or there would be no more ping pong paddles.

Also the larger ball is easier for spectators to see on television or from their expensive seats 200 meters away at ITTF tournaments.

No vote required for this rule change as they are only improving the specifications.

Of course, players will have to have go through stringent head testing before each match to make sure their head isn't tuned.

To make it really easy because we know table tennis is too difficult to SELL as a sport, let's add a sense of theatre!

The important considerations learned from the video is give the governing body total control. The players should just have fun and woo the audience. Makes perfect sense to me.

But eventually all the rule changes get too much and you're really just left with this ...


Just don't let them see this because then they'll think it really is a good idea (cos they have logos, sponsorship and everything!) ...


But wait, there's more! Look what manufacturers' will have in store!
