Since most of us have not actually met each other in real life, you must wonder (like I do) how your personality on the forum compares to that in real life. I think the fact that people here are somewhat anonymous, makes you feel less inhibited to express your opinions. Some of us might be total introverts in real life, yet very outspoken on the forum. Do you think your forum personality is similar to that in real life, or very opposite, or somewhere in between? |

I think I'm pretty in-line on the forum with how I am in-person. Fairly extrovert but not overly so. Also prone to being salty on occasion. Talkative. Even sexier in person. I've met GMan, Der_Echte, and Next Level in person. Der_Echte posts exactly like he acts! Haha. He's a character. Very helpful nice guy. NextLevel is very cerebral online and can seem all business (TT-wise) online. In person he is still very cerebral, but with much more warmth than I see in his posts. Very nice guy, very helpful. GMan is the same online as he is off, good guy, even keeled. |

No different for me. I've met NextLevel, der_echte, pgpg, and so_devo - they don't seem different in person. I agree with Japsican that in person NextLevel exudes warmth and good spirit, which is less easy to convey or pick up in text. With luck I shall meet multispoke today! |

I speak Swedish most of the time in real life. Much of quickness, humor and other fine tuned linguistical acrobatics get lost in translation. I feel very clumsy when using English. But this forum has helped me with keeping it alive. So when I talk English in occasional work situations I am all about pimples, tackiness, sticky, arcs and so on. I usually never get through in those occasions... |
