The Olympics is less than 2 months away.

Anything you want to discuss? TT or non-TT sports?

Or you want to introduce the TT team from your country?

Non-TT events? Anything.

Zika? Doping? Whatever.

Or anyone of you seeing the event in person?

I will start off with 2 comments:
-disappointed Liu Shiwen, no. 1 in the world lady, will not get to compete for the singles title. :(
-nice to see He Zhiwen is still going.

Australian Open is first :P

Started this week. Finals on the weekend I believe!

No doubt a few Olympians will be playing there, including our Aussies. Quite a few European players coming here I believe. Its on at MSAC in Melbourne. A friend posted a pic on facebook of the stadium. Could barely recognise it as the same place.

She didn't play well in the qualifier. The Chinese national team obviously thinks Ding Ning is a safer bet.

Benedek Olah from Finland got place in the Olympics. He is the all time highest ranked table tennis player from Finland and he has made huge jump in ranking. He is now number 63. in ITTF ranking. :D

http://www.ittf.com/ittf_ranking/world_ ... _ID=110726

Look at his backhand power in the Nigeria open final (0:15, 5:14). He has word class backhand loop kill.

He had trobles against Gustaf Ericson though... :o

I find it very interesting and impressive that Kanak Jha (USA) will be the youngest player to ever compete in the mens singles competition of the Olympic games. I hope he does well and enjoys this experience.
To see and hear a little more of this rising young star....

I think it's a disgrace the Russian tennis players were banned from participating as a whole, instead of reviewing them one by one. This is seriously gonna hurt the tennis competition this year in Rio

Yes, I saw Timo waving his flag. I've never seen such a big smile on his face!

I have just finishing watching Michael Phelps win another gold medal.
I noticed one thing. He had "suction cup" treatment, an "ancient Chinese" medical treatment for muscles.

Is that medically proven to work?

Sharapova ran afoul the Meldonium ban earlier this year. The others, don't know.
