Borrowing from Tony Robbins approach to rule beliefs.

This is one of my Rule Beliefs (things that guide me through my day and which I also often apply to table tennis)

1. Cheerfulness - anytime I realise that no matter what's happening around me, being anything other than cheerful will not make it better.

Why not share your rule beliefs that help guide you. I'll add other OOAK forum member rule beliefs to an index in this post to help manage the content and make it easier for people to follow the thread.

OOAK Forum Rule Belief Index:

Debater:
- Cheerfulness. Anytime I realise that no matter what's happening around me, being anything other than cheerful will not make it better.
haggisv:
- Appreciate what you have! There is ALWAYS someone out there who wishes they had what you have.
- Show appreciation to others for what they do. Most don’t notice it until they stop doing them.
REB:
- Always try to be the best (and nicest) person I can be
Danthespearton:
- Always look at the situation from all sides of the table, and respect other people's ideas and views.

Good practice Debater. A little bit like something I try to practice in life, to always try to be the best (and nicest) person I can be. Not always the easiest thing to practice, uphold and improve the standard I set myself, but I do try my best (and keep it in upper mind as often as possible). Of course certain people make this a lot harder than it ought to be. I certainly try to always be the best father I can be for my daughter, which is generally fairly easy.
