My nick goes back ten years when I played an online racing simulator called Grand Prix Legends (GPL). It was set in the 1967 Formula One season. It included seven cars and I fell for the twitchiest of them - the Brabham BT24 built and driven in real life by Jack Brabham of Australia.

The Brabham in GPL was slower than most cars, but had great cornering ability. That and its twitchiness earned it a small but loyal following. I drove it almost exclusively as it was soo much more fun that the others and I tended to preach a bit about its virtues.

I never drove as "Brabhamista" as this was a serious simulation and 80-90% of drivers used their real names. At some point someone called me a true "brabhamista" which is a mix of "Brabham" and the Spanish affix "-ista" (the equivalent of the English "-ist.) It is also used in English, but then most commonly in descriptions of hardcore political followers such as Sandinista, Peronista and Fidelista. Judging by that, I guess my friend thought I preached a bit ferociously. ;)

Anyroads, the word stuck and I started to use it as an online forum and gaming nick a little later.

So there, a longwinded and boring explanation of my nick. :)

Nah, although I have respect for Japan (culturally and in the field of technology), I have no connection to Japan whatsoever, except for having practiced judo for a long time.
You could have known for sure, because there has been a training video of myself in the videos section a long time ago...

So is "Joker" pronounced the German way (i.e. "yolker")?

Why did I missed this thread?

My username came from the first bat I used which is Lion brand. I favor the red rubber thus I came up with red_lion. Lion brand does not exist anymore :D

edit : I googled it and it is still available :o

Ok, my turn. :)

Indonesia is big market for Japanese Cars, but,

Some car got Her name changed, like Daihatsu BeGo,

Which in Indonesia goes by Her old name, Daihatsu Terios.

While BeGo means, well, Be Go in English,

Bego means either dumb, moron, or idiot in Indonesian ;P

Stay foolish. Only fool can learn, for the smart got His or Her glass full. <(`^´)>
